The 1982 Boise State Broncos football team represented Boise State University in the 1982 NCAA Division I-AA football season. The Broncos competed in the Big Sky Conference and played their home games on campus at Bronco Stadium in Boise, Idaho. Led by seventh-year head coach Jim Criner, Boise State finished the season 8–3 overall and 4–3 in conference for fourth place.[1]

Entering the rivalry game with Idaho at Bronco Stadium on October 30, Boise State had a five-game winning streak over the Vandals.[2] Idaho won 24–17,[3] the first of twelve straight wins over the Broncos.

Criner left BSU after this season for Iowa State University of the Big Eight Conference.
