The 1987 NCAA Division I Tennis Championships were the 41st annual NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championship and the 6th annual NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championship to determine the national champions of NCAA Division I men's and women's collegiate tennis. Each championship featured a singles, doubles, and team championship.

The men's tournaments were played in Athens, Georgia, hosted by the University of Georgia, while the women's tournaments were held in Los Angeles, California, hosted by the University of California, Los Angeles.[1][2] The men's and women's tournaments would not be held at the same site until 2006.

The men's team championship was won by Georgia, their second team national title. The Bulldogs defeated UCLA in the final round, 5–1. The men's singles title was won by South African Andrew Burrow from Miami (FL). The men's doubles title was won by Rick Leach and Scott Melville from USC. This was Leach's second consecutive double's national title, having won the 1986 championship with Tim Pawsat.

The women's team championship was also won by Stanford, their third, and second consecutive, team national title. The Cardinal defeated Georgia in the final round, 5–1. Stanford's Patty Fendick repeated as the women's singles national champion, the first to accomplish this feat. It would not happen again until Lisa Raymond won back-to-back titles in 1992 and 1993. The women's doubles title was won by Katrina Adams and Diane Donnelly from Northwestern.
