1997 World Series of Poker
The 1997 World Series of Poker (WSOP) was a series of poker tournaments held at Binion's Horseshoe. Most notably, it was the only WSOP where the final table of the main event took place outdoors, at the Fremont Street Experience, just outside Binions. The 1997 WSOP is also famous for marking the comeback of Stu Ungar who had last won the main event in 1981.
