The 1999 World Netball Championships was the tenth staging of the World Netball Championships, the premier tournament in international netball, held every four years. The 1999 tournament was held in Christchurch, New Zealand and was contested by 24 teams. All matches were held at the Westpac Arena.
Australia were the winners of the tournament, claiming their eighth title. Australia defended the title they won in 1995 by memorably defeating perennial rivals New Zealand in the final on a final-second shot by Sharelle McMahon, after coming back from six goals down at three-quarter time (quarter break scores: 13–13, 21–23, 28–34, 42–41).
