- 20 December - Anjeza Shahini is selected to represent Albania at the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest with her song "Imazhi yt". She is selected to be the first Albanian Eurovision entry during Festivali i Këngës 42 held at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana.
