The 2016–17 Oregon State Beavers men's basketball team represent Oregon State University in the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Beavers are led by third-year head coach Wayne Tinkle, and play their home games at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis, Oregon as members of the Pac-12 Conference.

Previous season

Oregon State finished the season 19–13 overall and 9–9 in conference. The Beavers received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. OSU would be given the 7-seed in the West Region, where they would be upset in the Round of 64 by 10-seed VCU; 67–75. This was Oregon State's first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1990.[1]
