The 2016–17 Washington Huskies men's basketball team represents the University of Washington in the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Huskies are led by fifteenth year head coach Lorenzo Romar. The Huskies play their games at Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion as members of the Pac-12 Conference.
Previous season
Washington finished the season 19–15 overall; and 9–9 in the Pac-12. The Huskies defeated Stanford in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament, and lose to Oregon in the quarterfinals. They were invited to the NIT where they beat 6-seed Long Beach State 107–102 in the first round. The Huskies would draw 2-seed San Diego State in the second round where they'd lose 78–93.
