The 2018 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup, the 18th edition of FIBA's premier international tournament for women's national basketball teams but the first to bear the "World Cup" designation,[1] will be held in Spain from 22 to 30 September 2018.[2] The United States is the first to qualify by virtue of beating Spain 101–72 at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro for the gold medal.
