The 2018 ICC World Twenty20 is scheduled to be the seventh ICC World Twenty20 tournament.[1] In June 2016 the International Cricket Council (ICC) suggested that the possible host of the tournament will be South Africa.[2][3] The 2018 tournament was reinstated based on the success of the 2016 tournament[3] and is scheduled to feature more Associate nations.[1] Following the conclusion of the ICC's annual conference in July, the ICC delayed the decision on the future of the 2018 tournament until October.[4]
