A Yankee Princess is a 1919 American silent comedy drama film produced and distributed by the Vitagraph Company of America and starring Bessie Love. It is a lost film.[2][3]
Plot
As described in a film magazine,[4] Patsy O'Reilly (Love) is sent to an exclusive college by her suddenly rich father. The aristocratic students will have nothing to do with her until she claims to be a princess, and they then demand a coat of arms. Her father buys the heirlooms of the destitute English Windbourne's. Lord Windbourne appears and becomes engaged to Patsy, money being his object. When she learns his true character and breaks the engagement, he tells the truth about the heirlooms, threatening to publish the deception. Then Larry Burke, a young Irishman, appears with proof that he is the real Lord Windbourne, and his proposal is accepted.
