Abul Hasnat Abdullah is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and a member of Parliament.[1] He represents barisal-1 in the parliament. he has studied upto Secondary School Certificate (grade 10).[2] He was chief whip of parliament in the Awami league government from 1996 to 2001. He is a cousin of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and central member of Awami league.[3] His father is former Awami league leader and water resource minister Abdur Rab Serniabat, who was killed in the assassination of Sheikh Mujib.[4] His mother and siblings were also killed in the coup.[5] He is chairman of Abdul Hakim High School in Rangabali Upazila, Patuakhali.[6]
