Agony is an upcoming survival horror video game developed by Madmind Studio and published by PlayWay. Agony is a terrifying vision of hell. Players will begin their journey as a tormented soul within the depths of hell without any memories about his past. The special ability to control people on their path, and even possess simple minded demons, gives the player the necessary measures to survive in the extreme conditions they are in.[1]
Gameplay
The game is played from a first-person perspective. The player controls one of the Martyrs placed in hell. Using Crouching and Holding breath mechanics, the player can avoid Demons. Besides hiding player needs to solve puzzles in order to unlock new areas. There are available hidden statues, that the player can collect, as well as paintings which are possible to discover.
Reception
First reviews of the game were positive. Gameranks rewarded Agony by second place in their Top 10 Games from Gamescom 2016 rank.[2] Official gameplay trailer became viral and got numbers of views on youtube mirrors.[3] As developers claims on their Steam Page Agony Trailers on official Youtube channels got over 6 million views.[4] Portal Bloody DIsgusting put AGONY on top place.[5]
Kickstarter
On November 2016 developers started their Kickstarter Campaign to fund the creation of the game.[6] Campaign is already reached the goal and will end in December.
