Aigars Fadejevs
Aigars Fadejevs (born December 27, 1975 in Valka) is a Latvian athlete, competing in 20 km, 50 km walk and marathon running.
Fadejevs has competed in 1996 Summer Olympics, finishing 6th in 20 km walk and in 2000 Summer Olympics, winning the silver medal in 50 km,2004 Olympic,50 km 11th,20 km 9th . He has also won the gold medal in European U23 Championships 1997, silver medal in 1998 European Championships at the 20 km distance,finished 4th in 50 km at World Championship in Edmonton(2001),Fadejevs quit race walking 2004 and competed as a marathon runner and almost qualifies for 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. He currently works as a Sports therapist.
His personal records are 1.19:36 in 20 km and 3.43:18 in 50 km walk,2:18,19 in marathon. He also holds the unofficial world record of 58:23 in the rare 15 km distance.
