Aleksandr Dmitrijev (born 18 February 1982) is an Estonian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Estonian Meistriliiga club Infonet and the Estonia national football team.
Club career
Early career
At the age of 16, Dmitrijev started his career with II liiga side Tallinna Jalgpalliklubi, the reserve team of TVMK. In 1999, he made a debut for TVMK in the Meistriliiga and appeared in eight matches for the team in that season, but mainly remained as a reserve team player.[1]
He had a short spell in the Esiliiga with HÜJK Emmaste in 2001.
Levadia
In 2001, he signed for Levadia. In 2008, he was dropped from the Levadia squad and listed for transfer after he rejected his contract extension with the club.[2]
Hønefoss
On 31 March 2008, Dmitrijev joined Norwegian side Hønefoss on loan[3] and signed a permanent deal with the club on 30 July 2008.[4]
Ural Sverdlovsk Oblast
In February 2011, he signed a two-and-a-half year deal with Russian club Ural Sverdlovsk Oblast.[5]
International career
Dmitrijev made his debut for Estonia in 2004. In 2016, he reached his 100th cap.[6]
