Alex Melen is an American entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of web hosting company T35 Hosting and advertising agency Melen, LLC.

Career

Melen started T35 Hosting in 1999,[2] growing it to over 600,000 clients by 2009.[3] In 2011, Melen Co-Founded advertising agency Melen, LLC with his younger brother Michael Melen.[4] Melen also founded SocialJump, a social media marketing agency that was featured on NPR.[5]

Awards and recognition

In 2001, YoungBiz Magazine named Melen one of the top 100 Young Entrepreneurs in America.[6] In 2006 Melen received the Babson College Student Business of the Year Award[7] and was named one of BusinesssWeek's Top 25 Entrepreneurs Under 25.[8][9] In 2009, Melen was a presenter at ResellerClub's HostingCon[10] and T35 Hosting was featured in Bloomberg Top 101 Best Freebies.[11] In November 2012, Melen was invited to the White House by President Barack Obama to meet with the administration about young entrepreneurship.[12] Melen was also featured in the Empact Top 100 Showcase for 2013 and 2014.[13][14] In October 2016, Melen was a featured speaker on Marketing in a Cut-Throat Industry at Penton's HostingCon Europe 2016 in Amsterdam.[15]
