Alexander Sergeyevich Korovin (Russian: Александр Сергеевич Коровин, born 15 February 1994) is a Russian pair skater. With partner Alisa Efimova, he won silver medals at the 2016 CS Tallinn Trophy and 2016 Hellmut Seibt Memorial.
Career
Korovin was born in Pervouralsk, Russia. He began skating in 2002. Korovin was a single skater until 2010 when he switched to pairs. His first partner was Alexandra Minina with whom he skated until season 2013-14. [1] [2]
Partnership with Efimova
Efimova/Korovin began competing together in 2014, coached by Natalia Pavlova and Alexander Zaitsev in Moscow.[1] [2]
Their international debut came in February 2016 at the 2016 Hellmut Seibt Memorial where they won silver medal.
In November 2016 Efimova/Korovin made their debut on the Grand Prix series, placing 7th at the 2016 Rostelecom Cup.
