Alexandru Ciucur (born 1 March 1990 in Dorohoi) is a Romanian footballer who plays for Liga I club Politehnica Iași as a right winger.
Club career
Internațional Curtea de Argeș
Ciucur was an important member of the team in the 2008-09 season when he helped Internațional Curtea de Argeș earn promotion to the Liga I. In his second season with the team he did not see too much action.[1]
Pandurii Târgu Jiu and loans
Searching more play time he joined Liga I side Pandurii Târgu Jiu.[2] He did not make a breakthrough playing just one game in six months.[3]
He was loaned for the second half of the 2010-11 season to Liga II side CS Mioveni.[4]
In the summer of 2011 Ciucur joined CSMS Iași.[5] He finished the 11-12 season in an emphatic manner, scoring very important goals to help CSMS Iași gain promotion to the Liga I.[6]
In 2013, Cristi Pustai, the coach of Pandurii, put an end of loan period. He debuted in Europa League for the pandurs after the club obtains Liga I runners-up title. On 29 August 2013, Ciucur scored the decisive goal against the Portughese club SC Braga to make sure Pandurii Targu Jiu progressed to Europa League group stage for the first time in their history.[7]
