Alfred Angelo Bridal is the one of the world's largest manufacturers and retailers of wedding dresses. The company is headquartered in Delray Beach, Florida. While Alfred Angelo is most recognized for its wedding dress fashions, the company also designs bridesmaid dresses, fashions for the mother of the bride, flower girl dresses, and wedding accessories. In 2014, Alfred Angelo celebrated 80 years of dressing brides.
Alfred Angelo is best known for its clean lines and classic designs, while continuing to set new bridal trends. There are four collections of Alfred Angelo wedding dresses:
The Alfred Angelo Collection, the brand's signature designs; Modern Vintage by Alfred Angelo, vintage-inspired dresses designed with lots of lace and whimsy; Alfred Angelo Sapphire, the more luxurious and glamorous style of wedding dress; and Disney Fairy Tale Weddings by Alfred Angelo, Disney princess-inspired wedding dresses (featuring Elsa, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Rapunzel, Snow White, and Tiana).
History
The company was founded by Alfred Angelo and his wife Edythe Piccione in the mid-1930s in Philadelphia. Edythe designed the dresses and Alfred's focus was on ensuring quality manufacturing and business development.
In the 1960s, the Piccione children, Vincent and Michele Piccione, began managing the company and did so for the next 35 years. Their accomplishments included opening 70 retail stores in the USA as well as building a clothing factory where the dresses were made.[1]
Paul Quentel was hired as President in 2011 and in 2013 went "undercover" on CBS' Undercover Boss, a television show where company management dons a disguise and works alongside company employees.[2]
Signature Stores
Alfred Angelo dresses are sold at Alfred Angelo retail "Signature Stores" and retailers in the United States. Worldwide, designs are sold in over 2,500 stores in 34 countries. Alfred Angelo dresses are available from size 0-30W for brides and bridesmaids. There are also junior bridesmaids sizes from 8-14.
Alfred Angelo launched a mobile app in 2013 to allow brides to find store locations, search and save dresses before shopping in stores, take pictures and share with friends, and interact with other members of the Alfred Angelo community.
Partnership with Disney
In September 2010, in a collaboration with Disney, Alfred Angelo announced the debut of a line of princess-inspired wedding dresses from popular Disney animated films like Frozen, Snow White, Cinderella, and The Little Mermaid.[3]
