Alfred Machin (April 20, 1877 in Westhove – June 16, 1929 in Nice, France) was one of the few French film directors whose films expressed progressive tendencies before World War I. During this war his films of current events were used by the French Army. After 1920, Alfred Machin devoted himself to films of animals.

Machin directed in all more than one hundred films.
