Alma (company)
Alma is a Miami-based company.
Company overview
Alma is the Hispanic wing of DDB,[1] after absorbing DDB’s Miami office in 2009. It was named after the Spanish word for “soul”.[2] It is a predecessor organization to Rivero Messianu DDB, which was cofounded by Alma founder Luis Miguel Messianu, who is the company’s CEO and Creative Chairman. Isaac Misrahi is the co-president alongside Alvar Sunol.[1] Prior to their appointment, Messianu held the office of president at the company.[3]
Projects
The company’s clients include McDonald’s,[4] Sprint,[5] the State of Florida,[6] Qwest Communications,[7] and Hyundai.[8][9] For State Farm, the firm developed a band called Felinos de la Noche, which both appeared in television spots and was put on a regional tour playing for audiences that drew about fifty thousand people over-all.[10][11] Messianu has stated the firm’s audience is bilingual and bicultural Hispanic Americans in the millennial age group.[4]
