Alma Jean Billingslea

Alma Jean Billingslea (born 1946) is an American scholar and teacher, and a veteran of the civil rights movement.

Billingslea was a member of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee. She teaches literature and the African diaspora at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.[1]

She is the author of Crossing Borders through Folklore: African American Women's Fiction and Art (U of Missouri P, 1999).[2][3]
