Anam Vivekananda Reddy popularly known as Anam Viveka is an Indian politician from Andhra Pradesh. He belongs to the national party of TDP.
Early life
Anam Vivekananda Reddy was born in Nellore to Anam Venkata Reddy. He is also the nephew of the Late Anam Chenchu Subba Reddy garu, a famous political leader from Andhra Pradesh during the pre and post independence. He is the brother of Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, who is minister for Information and Public Relations in the cabinets of YS Rajasekhar Reddy, K Rosaiah and also the minister for finance in the cabinet of N. Kiran Kumar Reddy.One of his cousin Musunuru Vinod Kumar was also started his political career from Aam Aadmi Party Youth convener. Viveka studied B.A from V.R.College, Nellore and settled in agriculture.
Personal life
Anam Vivekananda Reddy was married to A. Himavathi and they have two sons namely- Anam Chenchu Subba Reddy, and Anam Ranga Mayur Reddy who also have entered politics in the year 2014. Sports and games are Viveka's hobbies.
Career
He was elected as Member of Legislative Assembly thrice to the AP Assembly. He also served as President of District Land Mortgage Bank, Nellore (1982), Councillor and Vice-Chairman of Nellore Municipality (1982), President of District Central Co- Operative Bank, Nellore, Correspondent and Secretary of S.V.G.S. College, Nellore (1988) and V.R. College, Nellore (1988), Chairman of Sri Venugopala Swmay Temple, Nellore (1994), Municipality of Nellore (1995) and President of Chamber of Municipal Chairman, 1996.
Political career
Being in politics since many years, he took an official retirement in the year 2014, giving chance to his sons to take over his position as his successor in politics. Anam brothers have political rivalry with Mekapati brothers in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. MP of the Congress Party Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy and his MLA brother Mekapati Chandra Sekhar Reddy are strong supporters of YSR Congress Party and Jagan Mohan Reddy. Both groups might have influenced the district politics to a greater extent which resulted long vasting change in the 2014 Assembly elections.
