Andrew John Dawber (born 20 November 1994) is an English professional footballer who plays for Altrincham as a goalkeeper.
Club career
Accrington Stanley
Born in Wigan, Greater Manchester, Dawber progressed through the Accrington Centre of Excellence before joining the club's academy in 2011. He made his senior debut on 4 September 2012 in the 0–2 defeat to Morecambe in the first round of the Football League Trophy.[3] He was given the Man of the Match award for his performance,[4] and was praised by manager Paul Cook.[5] In February 2013, Dawber signed a new contract with the club which ran until the summer of 2015.[6]
On 12 August 2013, Dawber joined Northern Premier League side Marine on a month's loan.[7]
In October 2013 Dawber joined another local side Clitheroe on another one-month loan deal.[8]
In September 2014 Dawber rejoined local side Clitheroe on two-month loan deal.[9]
In March 2015 Dawber left Accrington Stanley by mutual consent.[10]
Fulham
Dawber joined Championship team Fulham on a one-year contract in July 2015.[11] He signed a one-month loan deal with Aldershot Town in September 2015,[12] and with Bishop's Stortford in February 2016.[13]
Altrincham
On 17 May 2016, Altrincham announced that they had signed Dawber.[14]
