Arthur Julius

Arthur Julius is an American who is seen as the inventor of the wet wipes.[1] Julius worked in the cosmetics industry. In 1957 he adjusted a soap portionor machine, putting it in a loft in Manhattan. Julius trademarked the name Wet-Nap in 1958, a name for the product that is still be used. After fine tuning his newfangled hand-cleaning aid together with a mechanic, he unveiled his invention at the 1960 National Restaurant Show in Chicago and started selling in 1963 Wet-Nap products to Colonel Sanders for use in his KFC restaurant. More restaurants followed.[2] His sun, Arthur Julius joined the company in 1963 and became the successor as CEO of the company. Also the grandson of Arthus, Zachary, is part of the company.[3] Today, Nice-Pak is the world’s leading producer of wet wipes, creating wipes for just about anything that requires cleaning, sanitizing or disinfecting.[3]
