Asad Ziar
Asad Ziar is an Afghan Freelance Writer - Journalist - Social Activist and Philanthropist and he is known as the founder of Afghanistan Rugby Federation, He is the one who introduced rugby to Afghans.
Mr.Ziar offers sincerity in relationship building and the ability to be adaptable in any environment. He is a great team player and would look forward to working with others collaboratively to achieve excellent results. Mr.Ziar is an extremely fast learner and highly adaptable to the demands of a new workplace, He loves a challenge and expect to hit the ground running in any new challenge. Mr.Ziar's social activities involves working for the improvement of lives of the Afghans, specially the children and as a founder of rugby in Afghanistan he is now doing his best to spread the message of peace through rugby to each and every corner of the country.[3]
He also writes sport articles for one of the top news channels [4] and also receives appreciations and supports from all over the world. He use to raise the voice of the Afghan kids, youths and youngsters to the world so that they come to help them support with sport.[5] Asad Ziar believes that sport is a strong tool for bringing peace, stability and brotherhood in Afghanistan, and not the weapons and war planes, since we have witnessed that with the bombings and fights nothing has been achieved.The security situation in Afghanistan is worsening day by day, and it seems that if it continues the same way and strategy I am sure that not only in the next decade but in the next century peace will not be stable in Afghanistan. The line has been drawn by Afghanistan cricket, and the Afghan Cricket Board has their own grounds and stadiums in all the zones of the country.It is now clear that no one will come to help Afghan Rugby until they show their own momentum for the rapid development and progress of the game, and to participate in international competitions.It is understood that there is no commercial organization which will come to help Afghan Rugby, until it achieves a noticeable status in the world - not only in Afghanistan." It is a pleasure that the federation has played very effective role in the development of rugby with no resources and facilities in their hands.
After Asad Ziar introduced rugby locals loved it from the day off, with many leaving other sports clubs to come and join in a game they’d never heard of before. Rugby perfectly suits their physical and robust nature and has pretty similar DNA to the national sport of Buzkashi, except that involves a dead goat.
Asad Ziar, the force behind the development and progress of rugby has been traveling the country spreading the word and opening up rugby clubs wherever he can, teaching everyone from boys to men the basic skills they need. The International side is extremely determined and according to Asad Ziar has several characters who would push for an All Black’s place.
Asad Ziar states that his aim is to support a youngsters, youth, kids and girls who are choosing sport against a backdrop of violence, conflict and suffering. We’re not making judgments about the war, or about individuals, it’s about sport, doing something positive and result oriented and having fun and the most positive aspect that we will attract our new generation towards sport and providing them the opportunity to not to be part of the violence, war and drug addiction.
Asad Ziar is also very committed to introducing rugby to each and every kid in Afghanistan. His aim is to support the youth, both boys and girls, who are choosing rugby against a backdrop of violence, conflict and suffering. He is not making judgments about the war, or about individuals. It’s all about the sport, doing something positive, and having fun. The positive aspect of this is that we will attract our new generation towards rugby while providing them the opportunity to not to be part of the violence, war, and drug addiction.[1] He also writes sport articles.[2][3]
