Astrid Daxbock (born 30 July 1980) is a female compound and recurve archer and part of the Icelandic national archery team. She is also one of only a handful of archers in the world that competes in both categories (recurve and compound) at the same time at International events.

Personal Life

Astrid first tried archery in 2013 and fell in love with the sport. She is currently working as an archery instructor at Bogfimisetrid archery range in Iceland. [1] She has won multiple Icelandic Championships and aims to become the first person to compete at the Olympics in archery for Iceland. [2]

She competes at most events with her boyfriend and coach Guðmundur Örn Guðjónsson. [3]

Events

She participated in the team event and individual event at the 2015 World Archery Championships in Copenhagen.[4]

2016 World Archery Championships Ankara Turkey. 17th place in compound individual event.[5][6]

2016 European Championships Nottingham UK. 17th place in compound individual event. 9th place in compound team competition. 57th place in recurve individual event. 33rd place in recurve individual Olympic quota tournament. [5][7]
