Avante "(Forward)" Is the first live material from the solo career of the singer from Pará Joelma, expected to be released in the first half of 2017, by the Universal Music.[1]

Background

During the year of 2016, Joelma said in interviews that she would record her first DVD at the end of the year. In doubt about whether to record in São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro, the singer even considered the idea of recording a "Joelma By Brazil" project (alluding to the DVD Banda Calypso Pelo Brasil Recorded in 5 Brazilian capitals in 2006).

Joelma finally announced on August 23 the place and date chosen for the recording, being the day November 9, in the concert house "Coração Sertanejo", in Sao Paulo. "The wait is over, in November we have a meeting scheduled for the recording of my DVD!" She wrote in her social networks.

Despite criticism over the choice of the small venue and the day of the recording being on a Wednesday, the 2,000 tickets made available for the recording of Joelma's DVD ended in a week, two months before the show.[2]

The fanclub meeting was the reason for choosing the location of the recording in São Paulo. "It was an idea entrepreneur Joelma. He said that in São Paulo was possible to add everyone. The whole Brazil happens here. This is where people end up finding" said Anselmo Troncoso, DVD director, known for Working with names like Wesley Safadão, Jorge & Mateus and Matheus & Kauan.[3] To increase the DVD, the singer invited two artists: Solange Almeida, of the Aviões do Forró, and Ivete Sangalo. "It was a personal choice and an invitation by the Joelma. She wanted to be artists like her, knew her and they were women. Just the moment she lives", explains.

A week after the recording, the singer released on a social network a teaser of 1 minute with images of the DVD, with no release date yet.

Recording

"It will be a watershed in my life, I'm cold in the belly of anxiety."

—Joelma, to the site UOL.

The recording of the work took place on November 9, 2016 at the "Coração Sertanejo" house in São Paulo with the presence of 2,000 fans from various parts of Brazil.

On stage, the scenario consisted of three LED panels with projections that interact with the public according to the music, recording 12 cameras and a walkway in boot format, trademark of the singer. As for the musicians who accompanied Joelma on the DVD, most were members of the old Banda Calypso, as were the four ballet dancers. "The whole focus of this project was for Joelma and for the dancers. Most of the performances were elaborated by her and we adjusted everything for the video", explains the director of the DVD, Anselmo Troncoso.[4]

It was 11:30 pm when Joelma took to the stage of the Coração Sertanejo, in São Paulo, completely covered in a black cape. The vocalist sings a piece of "Força Estranha", by Caetano Veloso, before taking off the black cloak and reveals a silvery costume with details in jeweled and shoulder pads with sleeve. The production involved pyrotechnics and 3D projections. The show then begins at the sound of "Game Over", with Joelma accompanied by four dancers - two men and two women. The presentation follows quite dancing, with "#Partiu", "Fala Pra Mim" and "Voando Pro Pará" in sequence.

The show was divided into five blocks, all with change of clothes.

In the second block, we had the songs"Não Teve Amor", "Chora Não Coração", "A Página Virou" and the unprecedented "Amor Novo" with the participation of Ivete Sangalo, which was one of the highlights of the night. The lyrics are an outburst among friends about a guy who does not get off his feet. The singers explained that they did not have time to rehearse in advance and passed the sound on the same stage, so the song was repeated four times. "We are modern women, we rehearse for WhatsApp!", explained Ivete. "You're one of mine, an arrogant woman. It's very good to be here", said the woman from Bahia.

In the next block, it was the turn of the romantic "Ai Coração", "Debaixo do Mesmo Céu", "Assunto Delicado" and "Mulher Não Chora". The latter had the participation of "Solange Almeida", of the band Aviões do Forró. "I've never seen fans as faithful as yours, mine and Ivete. I can not explain the thrill of being here. I've come to pay tribute to this struggling woman because we are such and those who want to love people who suffer", said Solange. Wearing a long green dress with pebbles, Joelma made a simple and exciting staging with one of her dancers during the song "Você Também Errou", featured on the Volume 4 album of Banda Calypso, never performed live before. The public was delirious when the singer danced tango with her dancer at the end of the song. Then he amended the track in Spanish "Te Quiero". In another exciting moment, Joelma repeated the CD partnership and sang alongside her three children Natalia Sarraff, Yago and Yasmin. With tears in her eyes and hands raised to the sky, the family sang the gospel band "O Amor de Deus".[5]

The fourth block was reserved for the successes of the Banda Calypso and included the long medley "Dançando Calypso / Pra Me Conquistar /Imagino / Dudu / Temporal". As in the concerts of the "Avante Tour", Joelma is played twice and spins with one of her dancers at the end of' "Dudu". Soon after the medley, the singer and her two dancers sit on three stools placed on stage and with rehearsed movements, remove their boots and untie their ruffled skirts, revealing a long round skirt typical of carimbó. Then begins the last performance of the block, the carimbó "Menina do Requebrado".

Without losing her breath, Joelma returns to the stage for the fifth and final block with the electrifying and elaborate choreography of the track in Spanish "Pa'lante". Then the singer transforms the recording into a big ballad, singing and jumping with all her team a remix version of "Não Teve Amor" behind a DJ table in the center of the stage.

After closing the show and thanking the audience, Joelma left the stage to change clothes and came back using the first costumes of the night to re-record the first two songs of the DVD "Game Over" and "#Partiu" , Who had problems in capturing the audio. The recording ended only at 5 am.
