Robert Alden Titchenal (October 17, 1917 – July 5, 2009) was an American football player and coach. From 1953 to 1955, he served as the head football coach at the University of New Mexico, where he compiled a 12–15–1 record. From 1957 to 1964, he was the head football coach at San Jose State University, where he compiled a 33–46–1 record. His overall record as a coach is 45–61–2. In his playing days, Titchenal captained the only undefeated San Jose State football team in school history. He went on to play professionally for the Washington Redskins, San Francisco 49ers, and the Los Angeles Dons. He was born in Ventura, California.
