Brad Backer (born 19 July 1956) is an Australian former rugby league footballer of the 1980s.
Biography
Backer was originally from the Brisbane Rugby League club Easts Tigers, in which he played in the 1978 Queensland Rugby League State League Grand final, which Easts won over Fortitude Valley Diehards. He also spent time with Wynnum-Manly.
Backer was one of the players in the inaugural Rugby League State of Origin match in 1980. He also played in the 1981 match and game II of the 1982 series, of which all were played on the wing. Backer scored one try in the 1981 contest.
Backer won another Brisbane rugby League premiership with Easts in 1983.
