Bucculatrix insolita is a moth in the Bucculatricidae family. It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from California.

The wingspan is 7-7.5 mm. The basal third of forewings is white and the middle third of the wing is occupied by a broad truncated blackish triangle. The hindwings are irrorated fuscous.[2]
