Burkholderia bannensis is a Gram-negative, aerobic, nonspore-forming bacterium of the genus Burkholderia and the family Burkholderiaceae, which was isolated from highly acidic swamps from torpedo grass (Panicum repens) in Thailand.[3][4] It has the ability to neutralize acid.[5]
