Chairman John Harker explained that Ransons international experience and his understanding of markets and technologies would help drive the company back to profitability.[3]
In August 2004 InFocus announced that Ranson who was President and Chief Operation Officer would be the next CEO and a member of the board of directors. He would replace of former Chief Executive Officer and Chairman John Harker who had led the company since 1992, however Harker would continue in the role of Chairman.[1]
On May 16, 2007, InFocus announced that Ranson would be leaving the company to pursue other interests. Ranson also resigned from the company’s Board of Directors.[5]
