Cabo Tamar oil spill
On 7 June 1978 ran aground at San Vicente Bay, near Talcahuano, Chile, the Chilean Oil tanker Cabo Tamar and released 12,000 tons of oil (of the 64,000 ton load).[1]
(Cabo Tamar self is a peninsula at the west entrance of the Strait of Magellan)
