Carys Phillips (born 12 November 1992) is a Welsh rugby union player who plays as a openside flanker for the Skewen RFC/Ospreys and the Wales women's national rugby union team. The daughter of back row forward Rowland Phillips, she studied at Llandovery College and later took a course in Sports Coaching and Development at Cardiff Metropolitan University.[1] Phillips also played for Bristol Ladies.[2] She won her first international cap against Ireland in the first round of the 2013 Women's Six Nations Championship. Phillips captained Wales in the second round of the 2016 Women's Six Nations Championship.[1]
