Celia Woodsmith
Celia Woodsmith (born in 1985 in Tryon, North Carolina) is a New England bluegrass, blues and folk musician.
From 2003-2007 Woodsmith attended the University of Vermont where she started performing with Avi Salloway in Avi & Celia, a folk duo.
From 2008-2010 she was part of the Boston based "washboard rock n' roll" group Hey Mama.[1]
Woodsmith was the lead singer, rhythm guitar player and principal songwriter for Della Mae from 2011 until 2016.[2]
In 2013 Della Mae won International Bluegrass Music Association's Emerging Artist of the Year[3] and was nominated for a best bluegrass album at the 56th Grammy Awards.[4]
