Cerneşti (Hungarian: Csernefalva) is a commune in Maramureş County, Romania: It is composed of seven villages: Brebeni (Brébfalva), Cerneşti, Ciocotiş (Csókás), Fânaţe (Kővárfonác), Izvoarele (Balázsszeg), Măgureni (Nagyhegy) and Trestia (Kötelesmező).
