Chiclets

Chiclets are a brand of candy-coated chewing gum made by Cadbury Adams. The colors of chiclets are: yellow, green, orange, red, white, purple, pink, and blue. The product's name is derived from Nahuatl word tziktli, in Spanish chicle, the substance from which chewing gum was traditionally and still is made. The original flavor was peppermint, but many flavors have been added and discontinued over the decades since the introduction. Assorted fruit flavor is still available in Algeria, Colombia, Argentina, Egypt, Canada, India, Lebanon, Mexico, Venezuela, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Dominican Republic, United Kingdom, and parts of the Americas like Guatemala, but not anymore in most places.

In Latin America, and Thailand, traditional Chiclets are produced, but the brand has been extended to include various formats like bubble gum and stick gum.

Various people have been credited as the inventor of Chiclets including: brothers Robert Fleer and Frank Fleer,[1] and Louis Mahle.[2]

In the 1960s through the 1980s, promotional 2 pieces packs were distributed at gas stations.
