Chuchmany (Ukrainian: Чучмани́) – a small village (selo) in the Lviv Oblast (province), Busk Raion of Western Ukraine.
Is currently living in the village of about 297 persons[1] and local government is administered by Humnyska village council.[2]
Geography
The village is located at a distance of 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) from the highway in European route E40 E 40 connecting Lviv with Kiev. Distance from the regional center Lviv is 58 kilometres (36 mi) , 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from the district center Busk, and 486 kilometres (302 mi) from Kiev.
History and Religion
The first written mention dates back to year 1476. But traces of Stone Age settlements (third millennium BC) archaeological excavations have revealed near the village Chuchmany and Humnyska.
