The genus Cicinnurus (Vieillot, 1816) consists of three sickletail birds-of-paradise.
All three species are sexually dimorphic and have bright blue legs and feet. Members of this genus are found in Papua New Guinea or Indonesia, primarily on the island of Irian Jaya and nearby islands.

C. magnificus and C. respublica were formerly placed in the genus Diphyllodes Lesson, 1834.
