CityFALCON is a financial news aggregator that was launched in July 2014. It provides financial news to all types of investors. CityFALCON collects the latest financial information from more than 200 financial sources (including Twitter),[2] excludes the irrelevant and duplicated stories, and rates news according to the unique algorithm.
Background and idea of creation
CityFALCON is a fintech start-up based at the Level39 FinTech Accelerator in London. It aims to level the financial news industry and as they say "Bring Bloomberg to the consumer", and make an access to financial information equal to all investors regardless of their size. The start-up scans various news sources and social networks, collecting the relevant market information. CityFALCON's engine scores, rearranges, and intelligently uses crowd behaviour analysis to prioritize the value of the sources. In addition, they help investors to identify execution fee structures across various spread betting and brokering companies by comparing brokerage charges.[3][4][5]
