Claudio Ariel Yacob (born 18 July 1987) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for English club West Bromwich Albion.
Career
West Bromwich Albion
On 24 July 2012, Yacob signed for Premier League club West Bromwich Albion.[3] He made his Premier League debut against Liverpool. During his debut he was awarded man of the match.[4] In a highly successful debut season, in which Yacob developed a strong midfield partnership with Youssouf Mulumbu, Yacob won the club's player of the month award for March 2013.[5] He scored his first goal for the club against Arsenal in the 2013/2014 season in a game that ended 1-1. On 10 July 2015, he signed a new two-year contract with the club keeping him at the Albion until Summer 2017.[6] On 29 September 2016 Yacob signed another extension to secure his future at the club. It was a fresh two-year contract with an option of a further 12-months.[7]

Personal life
When not playing football, Yacob enjoys playing the guitar and painting. He also describes himself as a big fan of The Beatles and Adele.[9]
