Copal Amba[1] was formed when Moody’s acquired Copal Partners in 2011[2][3] and Copal Partners acquired Amba Research in 2013,[4] creating a combined entity called Copal Amba. Both Copal Partners and Amba Research had separately been ranked #1 by the Black Book.[5][6]

Copal Amba provides Investment Banking, Equity research and M&A advisory services to the global financial and corporate sectors. These services include investment banking analytics, investment research services across multiple asset classes including equities, fixed income and credit, and quantitative research, market research, risk analytics, and business support in areas such as sales and marketing support, regulatory compliance support, and procurement support.[7][8] The company counts amongst its clients leading bulge-bracket financial institutions, Fortune 100 corporations, mid-tier companies, boutique investment banks, and funds.[9] The firm has 2500+ employees.

The firm has delivery centers in Gurgaon, Bangalore, Beijing, Costa Rica, Prague and Westchester.[10] It also has commercial offices in London, New York, Hong Kong and Dubai.[11] Copal Amba's Costa Rica office has been ranked 9th in Costa Rica and 48th in Central America and the Caribbean in the 2014 Great Place to Work® Central America and the Caribbean Survey. This is for the fourth consecutive year Copal Amba has been ranked by GPTW as a best place to work.[12]
