Corey Davis (born January 11, 1995) is an American football wide receiver for the Western Michigan Broncos. Davis is the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) career receiving yards leader.
Early years
Davis attended Wheaton Warrenville South High School in Wheaton, Illinois. As a senior he had 45 receptions and six receiving touchdowns. He committed to Western Michigan University to play college football.
College career
As a true freshman at Western Michigan in 2013, Davis set school freshman records with 67 receptions for 941 yards and was named the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Freshman of the Year.[1][2]
As a sophomore in 2014, he had 78 receptions for 1,408 yards and 15 touchdowns.[3]
During his junior year in 2015, Davis had 90 receptions for 1,436 yards and 12 touchdowns.[4][5]
Against Toledo on November 25, 2016, Davis became the all-time FBS leader in receiving yards, breaking the record held by Nevada's Trevor Insley. He was named conference Offensive Player of the Year as well as First-Team All-MAC.[6]
