DJ Cuppy lived in Ilupeju for six years before moving to Ikeja. She then moved to London for her GCSE's and A-Levels.[1] Cuppy graduated from King's College London in July 2014 with a degree in Business and Economics.[2][3] She graduated this year from New York University having completed her Master’s Degree in Music Business, and now lives in London.[4][5]

Career

In 2014 Cuppy was the resident DJ at the MTV Africa Music Awards in Durban.[6] She then played at the Tatler and Christie’s Art Ball in London,[7] and at the Financial Times Luxury Summit in Mexico City.[1][8]

In July 2014 she released her first compilation mix called House of Cuppy in London and Lagos,[9] before launching it in New York on September 2, 2014. Later that year she interned at Jay-Z's Roc Nation.[16] In an interview with Tush Magazine, DJ Cuppy described her sound as "Neo-Afrobeats" which is a fusion of Electro house and Afrobeats.[17][18]

In 2016, Cuppy moved to London. [19]
