DZCA (1170 kHz Metro Manila) was an AM station owned and operated by the Office of Civil Defense in the Philippines. Its studios were located at Agham Rd., Quezon City.
During the 1970s, it once served as the official radio station of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration or (PAGASA), given the latest weather information in the country at the top of the hour (after the station ID).
The station is defunct since 1993, due to lack of funding. Despite being inactive, the frequency receives live broadcast of Voice of America.[1]
