Daljit Singh Shergill
Daljit Singh Shergill was a President of the first gurdwara in the UK. He became president of Smethwick Gurdwara in 1984. The managing committee led by Shergill raised £1.4m in 1998 towards a new building that was completed in 2000, making the Smethwick gurdwara the largest in Europe.cr
