Damir
For the villages in Iran, see Damir, Iran.
Damir is a common male given name in South Slavic languages, and occasionally in Central Asia and Turco-Islamic regions of Russia. It is of Slavic origin, with da meaning "give", and mir, meaning "peace". In other cases, it can also be a variation of a Turkish name "Demir", which means "metal, iron, or steel". [1][2]
