Damon Minchella (born 1 June 1969 in Ince-in-Makerfield, Lancashire) is an English bass guitarist, formerly with Ocean Colour Scene, which he left in 2003. He was replaced by Andy Bennett.He was a regular member of Paul Weller's backing band until 2008,[1] is a member of the supergroup The Players and played for The Who during their performance at the Live 8 concert in Hyde Park.
Minchella currently plays with Trio Valore with former Weller drummer Steve White[2] and announced in October 2012 he was to enter the studio with Richard Ashcroft for his fifth solo album.[3] Now based in Worcester, he also works as a bass tutor.[4] He is also the course leader of the BA Music based in the ATRiuM in Cardiff, part of the University of South Wales.
