DaySmart Software, Inc., incorporated in 1999, is located in Wixom, Michigan and designs, engineers and sells business management software for salons, day spas, medical spas, pet groomers, tattoo parlors and many other personal service industries.[1]

DaySmart Software, Inc. was founded by Chris and Mark Jackson in March 1999 under the name CMJ Designs, Inc. (CMJ, an acronym for Chris and Mark Jackson). On January 1, 2011 the name of the company changed from CMJ Designs, Inc. to DaySmart Software, Inc.[2]

DaySmart Software works with the University of Michigan-Dearborn's engineering and computer sciences departments on co-ops and work programs.[3]

DaySmart Software's first software product was designed for salons and spas. Initially branded Salon 2000, the software was rebranded in Aug. 2001 as Salon Iris and remains DaySmart Software's flagship product.[4] The company has also expanded to pet grooming software, medical spa software, tattoo industry software, and web services.[5][6][7][8]

DaySmart also offers mobile applications available from the iTunes and Google Play stores.

Cloud Editions

In January 2013 DaySmart Software launched software as a service version of their software. These versions are known as Cloud Editions. DaySmart's cloud software runs through a web browser and does not require any other software to function.[9][10][11][12]

Business Awards

In 2016, Inc. Magazine listed the company at #4127 on their list of the top 5000 fastest growing private companies in the United States, listing the company on their list for the 6th time in a row. In 2015, they listed the company at #4404. That listing marked DaySmart a five-time honoree placing them on the Inc 5000 Honor Roll. In 2014, they listed the company at #3400. And again in 2013, 2012, and 2011 at #4433, #3962, and #4945 respectively.[13]

DaySmart Software was named one of the Michigan 50 Companies to Watch for in 2012 by the Edward Lowe Foundation.[14]
