Dheiraj Kapoor (born 25 October 1978) is an Indian film actor,[1] model, director, producer and entrepreneur. Kapoor is known for his modeling assignments with Honda Activa TVC, Byford t-shirts Campaign, Gurukul Campaign, BPL net.com Campaign, and[2]IBM computers Campaigns. Overall responsible for conceptualizing and organizing brand campaigns, events for the domestic/international markets for individuals, brands and Organizations. He is also into the business of managing all communications and networking in support of extraordinary productions, campaign shoots, events including Indian & International Celebrities and Artists.
Early life
[3] Dheiraj Kapoor was born in Bangalore, India, on 25 October 1978; His mother Viney Kapoor was a house wife and Vinod Kumar Kapoor is a businessman based out of Bangalore. His elder sister Anju Kapoor Wahid married to Captain Mustafa Jaglul Wahid is settled in Malaysia, elder brother Monissh Kapoor and his wife Bbarkha Kapoor and son Nikil Kapoor live in Bangalore. Younger sister Tina A Sinha and her husband Dr Ashok Sinha along with their son Ronak Sinha are settled in United Kingdom.[4] Dheiraj Kapoor studied in schools like Sophia High School, Sindhi high School, St. Fatima high school and St. Stracey Memorial High School where he mingled with students across a milieu of cultures. This was instrumental in nurturing his mind as a child to look at life through a much broader perspective, a contemporary outlook and therefore established a futuristic vision. The city of Bangalore is culturally oriented and caters to a cosmopolitan crowd hence growing up in this environment helped him to get exposed to art, culture, architecture and theatre. Since childhood Dheiraj Kapoor was always keen in participating in dramatics, acting, fancy dress and dancing competitions. This resulted in developing his passionate interest in the world of cinema.[5] Dheiraj is a linguist with fluency in many languages such as English, Hindi, Punjabi, Kannada, Tamil, and Urdu. He was an athlete and played almost every sport and won accolades and trophies in intra and inter school competitions. He was the Vice Captain for the Karnataka State Basketball Team and was the House Captain in his 10th grade.
Career
Dheiraj Kapoor started his career with modeling assignments with Honda Activa TVC, Byford t-shirts Campaign, Gurukul Campaign, BPL net.com Campaign, and IBM computers Campaigns. DK has also acted in four English plays with internationally acclaimed theatre personality Mahesh Dattani and also acted in a Hindi play while doing his summer course in National School of Drama.[6]
In his early[7] 20s Dheiraj moved away from his well-established family retail business to pursue his passion and interest in movies and entertainment industry. It was his latent entrepreneurial streak that challenged him to start[8] LIMELIGHT in the millennium year with his close friend. In just 3 years Limelight under the duo leadership succeeded and started growing from strength to strength and thereby gaining much recognition in the field of Advertising and Entertainment. In the year 2005 to expand further, he moved to Mumbai, establishing himself nationally and internationally.[9]
